Three Arch Minus Sand

Yo,

This past weekend we went to Three Arch to celebrate my B Day. Anyway, the usually perfect white sand beach has been stripped of its sand from last weeks storm. Some areas lost over six feet. There may be dredging in the future if we don't get a solid south swell to push it back.

Poor Three Arch.......I want my beach back.

Crazy weather week

HQ has seen some gnarly conditions this past week.

We saw lots of rain causing the patio to flood. There was so much rain it pooled for hours on the sand in front of the house.

We have also experienced some crazy surf including monster waves breaking a mile out at sea.

HQ suffered some damage when the wind sucked out one of the windows from upstairs, peeled off some of our roof and pretty much sand blasted the entire home. Some think it was due to the nearby tornado warning??????

The most amazing part of it all is the amount of sand that moved on the beach. The front sand portion of our yard has about two feet of fresh sand blown in due to the high winds. (see video) Victor's patio has been completely disheveled.

mutant film festival

this past saturday was the first annual mutant film festival. there were five original entries and all the videos turned out great! the patio was full and everyone had a great time.

we are planning to have another film festival next year, the saturday before christmas.

also, there will be a movie night coming up with some mutant shorts premiering before the film. if you are interested in submitting a short film for the next movie night please let jedley or dark know...
